I Wish I Have A Magic Wand

It’s weird how something that you hate,

is something you cannot eradicate.

Depending on its shape,

the feelings it imitates,

Up on top, top of the world

or down below, down to the underworld.

I wish I have a magic wand.

Tap, tap, tap, to go wherever I want.

Don’t freak out, don’t freak out,

the dreaded six-pointed Star is out!

No matter which way it is held,

the panic it brings, burns like fire and hell.

Breathing hard, breathing fast,

oh my god, my heart’s gonna blast.

I wish I have a magic wand.

Tap, tap, tap, get me out, this is what I want.

Octagon and Hexagon, Pentagon and Triangle,

each one morphing into different angles.

Poking left, poking right, never ceasing,

till I’m drenched with fright.

Tranquilizing, paralysing,

oh my god, I’m hallucinating.

I wish I have a magic wand.

Tap. Tap. Tap.  Take me please, to wherever I want.

Do not cry. Oh, please do not fear.

Remember the days when THEY appear.

Cuddly Oval, soft and warm,

love that heals, and calms the storm.

Bouncy Circle, oh so rare,

laughter and joy, they fill my air.

I wish I have a magic wand!

TAP! TAP! TAP!  This is what I want!

Then comes one day, from far away,

a bent old figure, with a load of sugar.

“A little sweetness is all you need,

to calm the heart and melt the fears.

For don’t you know that what you need,

is really just, so simple and neat.

No magic wand can I give you,

for the magic wand resides in you!”

It’s weird how something that you used to hate,

is something now you don’t eradicate.

I wave my wand, lo and behold!

A pot of rainbow, so striking and bold!

My heart now knows, my eyes now see,

that the shapes are all, just parts of me.

Embrace, let go, live, love and be bold,

cos I now do know, the power that I hold.
